Penny Orpwood – Director, Client
Services Team
Penny is responsible for the successful delivery of
projects to high standards by the project management team,
which comprises 30 staff, in 4 sector based teams. She
manages recruitment, training and development, carries out
customer satisfaction interviews for completed projects and
implements improvements to HP processes.
Penny has nearly 20 years’ experience of research, gained
in a number of agency and client roles. She worked for 10
years with a specialist consultancy – Create – where she
led projects linked to skills, training and development for
City firms, the EU and Training and Enterprise Councils.
Penny also carried out a programme of research for
Investors in People, involving in-depth interviews with
senior staff in accredited companies, published as a series
of case studies. She also produced and organised high
profile conferences for Create, based on research outcomes.
In a different strand to her career, she led a team at Echo
Research, analysing and reporting on public perceptions of
company reputation for a range of blue chip organisations.
She also advised on crisis management for companies such as
ABB and Rolls Royce.
Prior to joining Holden Pearmain, Penny was Head of
Customer Insight at Legal & General, responsible for
delivering the organisation’s full market research
programme. During her time there, she succeeded in driving
research further up the agenda, and implemented a new
customer satisfaction measurement programme for the entire
call centre operation.
